Brian Williams
Brian Williams brings three decades of coaching experience to the wrestling community. As a Livermore native, he competed for East Avenue Middle School and Livermore High School where he served as team captain and placed at the California State Championships as a cadet in both freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling.
Continuing his athletic and academic pursuits at Chabot Community College, Brian was named team captain and earned the prestigious Scholastic All-American award for his excellence in both wrestling and academics.
Throughout his coaching career, he has held various positions including JV coach at Livermore High School, volunteer coach at Granada High School, and head coach at Christensen Middle School. His dedication to the sport has contributed to the success of numerous athletes, including multiple state placers at both the middle and high school levels. Notably, he coached Livermore’s first All-American wrestler in over 2 decades.
In 2024, under his leadership, the middle school boys’ team achieved a remarkable 6th place finish out of more than 250 clubs at the California Freestyle Championships.
Brian is certified by USA Wrestling with Bronze, Copper, and Teal coaching credentials, demonstrating his commitment to excellence in coaching and athlete development.
